Laptops vs. Netbooks

Netbooks are quite new on the scene, yet this has not stopped many people from ditching their laptop computers and picking up something smaller and a bit more convenient. Yet there is something still to be said for something a bit more traditional like Toshiba laptops – when choosing between these laptops and netbooks it’s really all about how you intend to use them.

People who often use their computers to watch films or work with large spread sheets might be best served going with a laptop for their bigger screens and better performance. Indeed, as good as netbooks are there are some tasks which you just need a bit more power to execute. Additionally, if you don’t need to take your computer outside a home or office situation then you might also want to pick up something a bit larger.

If, however, you want your computer to be a tool you can use everywhere at any time, then you should consider picking up something like a Toshiba netbook. The great appeal of these machines is that you can carry them in your backpack or purse and pull them out at a moment’s notice. This is great for keeping yourself occupied during downtime or working while on a business trip. For people on the go, netbooks are probably the best solution.

Netbooks are also ideal for people who don’t work with overly complicated programs: if all you need to do is use a word processer, surf the internet and access the internet (as many of us do) then something smaller and handier should do just fine.

When deciding between a netbook and a laptop you should take some time to carefully consider how you intend to use it – if you are always on the go you will want a tiny, convenient netbook. For bigger tasks and home use a laptop is just as good.
